resolutions!
Jan. 3rd, 2019 02:43 pm I am very wishy-washy when it comes to resolutions; I don't keep track of them very well, and get overwhelmed by the possibility of 'failing' at them.
Last year, my main resolution was to read more books - which I did! I started keeping a notebook to list each book I read, and what I liked about it. This was really validating, and I read around three times as many books as the year before! This has also been helped by my partner being a librarian, and my weakness for buying new books.
I think one of the things that helped me achieve this was how vague a goal it was - I didn't have to read a specific amount of things, or hit a particular target, I just had to read more. So along that theme, I've come up with four resolutions for this year!
I also made a few other, more general goals. I'm wary of making them Official Resolutions because I don't want to fixate on them or become anxious about achieving them. But I'm keeping them in mind, and will be happy if I make even a little progress with them.
